Stephanie, what is something your mother has taught you?
I always credit my mom for my painting abilities but the most important thing I’ve learned from my mom is her eternal optimism and faith that everything will work out the way it is supposed to. By example, she always taught me to make the best with what you have. When we were young, she decorated our house with handmade objects and paintings, and made most of our clothes. She worked hard to create the life she has and she has done it with a smile on her face.

Linda, what is something your daughter has taught you?
My daughter has taught me courage in the face of life challenges. Stephanie has always been the one to take the risk, no matter how demanding the undertaking. For example, some of her high school teachers discouraged her goal of attending medical school, suggesting that she become a nurse instead. Later in life, she had the courage to give up a fulfilling career as a physician to pursue her true passion. She is now a successful artist, living her dream.
Steph inspires me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new possibilities. She encourages me to live life to the fullest.
